Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the After Me website and services. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

After Me provides a "digital legacy" platform allowing users to store digital assets, messages, and instructions ("Capsules") to be released to designated heirs ("Beneficiaries") upon specific trigger events (e.g., date, inactivity, or trustee confirmation).

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Ensuring your "Proof of Life" contact methods (email) remain active.
• Ensuring you have the legal right to distribute any content you upload to your Vault.
• Not using the Service for illegal purposes.

3. The Inactivity Trigger (Dead Man's Switch)

Critical Notice: If you select an Inactivity Trigger, you acknowledge that failure to "Check In" or respond to our periodic emails within your chosen timeframe will result in the automatic release of your Capsules to your designated Beneficiaries. After Me is not liable for releases caused by your negligence, failure to update your email address, or technical issues on your end preventing receipt of notifications.

4. Content Ownership & License

You retain all rights to the content you upload. By uploading content, you grant After Me a limited license to store, encrypt, and (upon Trigger conditions) distribute said content to your designated Beneficiaries. We claim no ownership over your memories.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall After Me, nor its directors, employees, partners, agent, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

7. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
